Frida Kahlo once exclaimed “I dress for paradise!”, a statement so bold and confident that rarely a day goes by where I don’t think of it. Clothing is so often something we wear simply because we must, yet for some people the clothing they choose to adorn their bodies with is not just functional, it’s symbolic. For these people, clothing helps them communicate who they are; it allows them to explore their identity and present themselves authentically to the world. In this authenticity, is paradise.
